Dementia Training: A Positive Approach to Care
Our training and dementia support services adopt well know Occupational Therapist and Dementia Guru Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care.
We are one of only a few Australia providers to be credentialled to teach Teepa’s Positive Approach to Care.
We can provide our Positive Approach Dementia Training to everyone - at home carers, clinical staff or non clinical staff.
We currently provide training options for:
Onsite or online group training for Health, Aged Care and Community Care teams
One on one onsite training for personal care workers
Onsite or online training for carers and family / friends of people living with dementia

Practical Approach to Clinical Governance Leadership Program
Are you a new leader in the care sector? Or perhaps you have been in your leadership position for a while learning on the job? Our ONLINE and on demand leadership program lets you learn from clinical leaders at your own pace. Our leadership program will help you to
- Understand Clinical Governance and your role
- Learn how to use data to monitor performance and drive change
- Understand and implement improvement methodology
- Communicate for change
You will be provided with four 75 minute videos, PowerPoint presentations and resources to help build your knowledge and skills. One of our experienced mentors will check in with you after each session to assist with consolidating your learning.

Leisure and Recreation ONLINE Community of Practice
A monthly ONLINE Community of Practice (CoP) brining leisure and recreation staff working in aged care together to participate in online education sessions and networking.
Our CoP is an opportunity to hear from industry experts on hot topics relevant to aged care, build your confidence and knowledge via shared learning, collaborate and share ideas in a supportive environment and network and connect with other people working in similar roles across Australia.
Your membership is an annual membership, with monthly ONLINE sessions, access to special offers and a quarterly leisure and recreation newsletter.

Positive Approach to Dementia Care Online Workshop
Join us for our 4 week online program to learn how to adapt your approach to better support people living with dementia. Over 4 weekly sessions you will learn and practice the Positive Approach to Care Champion skills developed by Dementia Expert Teepa Snow. This includes:
Understanding brain and sensory changes from dementia
Learning a new approach to connect and engaged with PLWD
Learning the Hand Under Hand technique to support and enable people to participate in daily tasks
Developing dynamic assessment skills based on a strengths based approach
Developing your skills to better identify and maximise people’s strengths and abilities
Whats included?
4 x 2 hour LIVE online sessions with our certified trainers
Session recordings and presentations
Certificate for 8 hours CPD
Ability to become certified in the PAC Champion 1-4 skills

Join us for our in person skills day based in Melbourne to learn how to adapt your approach to better support people living with dementia. You will learn and have the opportunity to practice the Positive Approach to Care skills developed by Dementia Expert Teepa Snow. This includes:
